Course Learner Objectives



As increase in interest in female sports continues to rise, this conference will take evidence-based research and will focus on the innovations and advancements in female athletes. Specific conditions such as nutrition, core strengthening, rehabilitation, sport psychology, and advancements in female training will be discussed. Attendees will have the opportunity to bring specific questions and cases as they participate in expert panel discussions.

Target Audience/Course Objectives:

This course is designed for physical therapists, certified athletic trainers, physicians, occupational therapists and other allied health care professionals. It is intended that at the conclusion of the course participants should be able to: From didactic lectures:

  • Discuss the female athlete and current trends
  • Describe nutrition and supplement goals and needs for the female athlete
  • Identify various core strengthening and joint rehabilitation exercises
  • Recognize innovations with the female athletes in training and sports psychology
