Diagnostic MSK Ultrasound is starting to become a more common tool used in the sports medicine to diagnosis and treat injuries. This course goes over the basic aims of ultrasound imaging, especially as it relates to common pathology in baseball. This part will examine ultrasound techniques for baseball-specific muscle groups in the hand/wrist and shoulder pathology.

Objectives:

Describe the protocol to scan the hand and wrist
Recognize various injuries of the hand and wrist that are common in baseball players
Describe the protocol to scan the shoulder
Recognize various injuries of the shoulder that are common in baseball players
